An Evaluation of Billy the Kid

Billy the Kid was a very troubled young man indeed. I believe that he honesty didn't think he was doing anything innately wrong even through the violent encounters in which he was present. He had a troubled past and lived a troubled life that could be linked to the careless and risky choices he would make. Even though the general public portrayed him as something worse than he actually was, he always tried to make a better life for himself and start over, which is why I think he is a hero in this aspect.
