H.w on African conquistadors

Their roles included being slaves and servants also soldiers and settlers. some of them were volunteers, those that were were more likely to earn their freedom than non volunteers. they were also apart of the spanish expeditions to present day America.
the article used the "panfilo de Naraez" expedition. they used this one because off Esteban, because he is " the most notable African male to aid in the exploration of North America".
the spanish had four group types the indians, spaniards,American born, and the Africans. if you were rich and had money to spend you could buy a certificate that basically could change a part of your race. if you were spanish, and you have bought a certificate that said you were one third African, you could then get married to a person in that race you  picked.
