lots of people today consider him as a hero.The main reason is that he put his effort in the Cattle Wars of New Mexico and helped hispanic people.
But we can't not ignore the truth that he has villainous qualities too.
He killed people,not for helping others but just for revenge and self defend. So in my opinion he was not good hero.
