Adrian Grenier, Michelle Rodriguez, and Linda Chavez all had different presumptions of their ethnicities even though they had very similar lineage. This likely resulted from racism or its derivatives, genealogy fabrication, or loss of records or information. Rodriguez identified herself as Hispanic, Chavez identified herself more as European, and Grenier identified himself as a jumble of different ethnicities with respect to the Native American peoples. I think that these people except for Rodriguez didn't really view their Hispanic culture as something very important .
After genetic tests, however, it was proven that Rodriguez has a lot of European and African blood, Chavez has a lot of European and Middle Eastern blood, and Grenier indeed has some Native American blood.
If I were a guest on this show I honestly think I wouldn't find any surprises.
